Adding Sound To My Existing Compositions... Zoom

This was done as part of a tutorial in adding sound to compositions...

This is a very simple animation and looks at adjusting the position of each character individually.

I combined the two definitions of zoom within this idea, I started with the beginning of the previous animation, and then the characters meet in the middle as they move back across the screen before 'zooming out'.

On this composition I have introduced the idea of a camera and working in 3D.

This idea is not a very polished one, it is an experiment with the camera again but with elements at different depths.

This is still quite a simple animation, but it is my most adventurous yet. Instead of working directly into After Effects I have created an asset in Photoshop.

1) This is quite an obvious example showing the words 'clicking' into place.

The following compositions are for the word Zoom:

2) This is quite straight forward, a continuous steady zoom in on the word. To achieve this I have adjusted the scale of the layer.

3) This composition is a variation on the previous one, however in the last few frames, the word zooms quickly out again.

4) This is a continuous zoom out on the word.

5) This is a variation on the previous composition.

6) Here, I have looked at adjusting each letterform individually instead of by the whole word.

7) This again looks at adjusting the scale of each letterform individually, and then scaling all of the letters into the background simultaneously.

8) This composition has been created editing scale and opacity.

9) Here, I have looked at the word zoom in a different way; as in, to 'zoom' by, so instead of editing the scale, I have manipulated the position.

10) This composition is based on the original interpretation of the word zoom, manipulating the scale; each letterform zooms out slightly before returning to original scale size, before the word zooms out into the background.
