Ident 2

This is my second ident, the beginning section is the same, but with the ending being slightly different.

After thought: maybe the Virgin media and Sky logos should come on with the line of text?

Ident 1

Two problems with this version:
-1 I accidentally didn't turn the opacity right down to 0% so 2 blocks are still slightly visible when they shouldn't be.
-2 The file format isn't correct- I should be formatting for Quicktime H.264.

Ident Layouts

Trialling different layouts for the components feature in the final frames:

I could split the elements into two parts like the above.

I think the Sky and Virgin Media logos look much better at the side, so they are still noticeable but not in the spotlight with the logo and the line of copy.

This layout works better for the magazine layout, unless I make the proximity of the logo and text closer, and reduce the text size.

Nearly There

I now have 4 columns in, fully working! It's proven to be a right pain in the (neck) and slow progression but I hope in the end it will be worth it!

Ident Development

Adding the filler bars and more columns in to the ident - from Lorraine's comment:

I took a different approach to the way in which the layers would appear and disappear, previously I had multiple layers for each 'bar' that would only appear for a few frames, it worked but it was incredibly confusing. However, Mike Flower, the technician pointed out if I was to use toggle key frames for opacity I would only need one layer per bar, perfect for this idea really I would have needed hundreds!
Toggle key frames are good because you don't get that transition from 0% to 100%, it goes straight from transparent to opaque or vice versa.

Ident... Idea 1 Adjustment

This idea takes into account some of the comments received about the 'gap' in the logo, I know its supposed to be there, but others don't.

Ident... Idea 1

My first idea 'put into motion', it would be one of a range of idents featuring different tracks each time.
I originally was quite happy with it, but don't seem to have had many positive comments on it:

One comment: 'It's a little obvious.'
Justification: My logo has to speak volumes as some people aren't aware of a) the definition of Infrasonic and b) what the letter 'i' stands for in the first place.

Peer comment: 'Could you make it look like more is going on, with more than one bar moving?'
Answer: I will definitely look into this, although I did consider this earlier but didn't want to distract from the logo.

Tutor comment: 'I think some of it is a little off the beat (but not much). The other thing is that it may look more responsive with two more bars between the orange and red bars (in the gap) at the top. I think the black space may be interrupting the flow of the visuals... I think it can work, but I think it's not quite to the level of *pop* just yet... Liking the idea though! Are you going to do a range of idents with different music or just the one track?'

Development for Idents...

Here are some developments experimenting with how I would go about approaching some of the ideas I have come up with for the idents.

This was a test to see how I would go about animating a equalizer, I did this using individual layers that would appear and disappear.

This is a test using a wave effect in conjunction with an audio layer using track Optimus Prime by Cookie Monsta. It isn't all that impressive really...

This is using the analogue wave, this is much more effective, and I added on the logo at the end just to work out how fading out the music and wave would work. It needs to be much shorter.

YCN... Final Advert

This is much more refined, the end shot stays on for the audience to see, which is what finishes it off. Now to check with the group...

Hooray! They liked it. Great, that's my part done, now to see if the others need assistance before deadline.

YCN... Advert 3

Here, the text has been held on for a second longer to enable the audience to read the flavours unlike the other ideas which just flashed up and quickly disappeared. This is beginning to look more how I see the final to look.

YCN... Advert 2

The best so far, much slower, and has more of a flow to it.

YCN... Advert 1 Revised Part 4

This looks much better than the previous, with white text.

YCN... Advert 1 Revised Part 3

This has more of a flow to it, with the lines moving across, instead of how they were before.

YCN... Advert 1 Revised Part 2

Not too sure about the white lines...
