Silent Movie... Experiments Part 3

This is another composition I created for Click:

1) This is quite an obvious example showing the words 'clicking' into place.

The following compositions are for the word Zoom:

2) This is quite straight forward, a continuous steady zoom in on the word. To achieve this I have adjusted the scale of the layer.

3) This composition is a variation on the previous one, however in the last few frames, the word zooms quickly out again.

4) This is a continuous zoom out on the word.

5) This is a variation on the previous composition.

6) Here, I have looked at adjusting each letterform individually instead of by the whole word.

7) This again looks at adjusting the scale of each letterform individually, and then scaling all of the letters into the background simultaneously.

8) This composition has been created editing scale and opacity.

9) Here, I have looked at the word zoom in a different way; as in, to 'zoom' by, so instead of editing the scale, I have manipulated the position.

10) This composition is based on the original interpretation of the word zoom, manipulating the scale; each letterform zooms out slightly before returning to original scale size, before the word zooms out into the background.

Experiments Part 2...

The following experiments are for the word Click, using Helvetica:

1) For this I have animated using the position controls and scale. I like this composition as the text appears as if it is being clicked on.

2) The next one, is very simple, only adjusting the position of each character.

3) This is a variation on the previous one incorporating rotation. No matter how many times I upload this, the 'K' still doesn't work, yet the movie works in After Effects!

Possible fonts from Da Font

The types of font I have searched for, for this word are computer-type fonts. The word click to me, makes me think of computers, and mouse-clicks... It also makes me think of the sound of a click, like a light switch, a mouse, or clicking of the fingers. As this is a silent movie brief, these could be visually represented as short, staccato movements.
