Collection 100...Naming My Film

I needed to come up with a name for my film, I decided this would be a phrase that would refer to jokes in the title, as I was a couple of days into filming, I noticed I had said a few phrases that featured this reference...

- The joke's on you...

- You must be joking...

- Are you having a giraffe?

- What a joke...

- You're having a laugh, ain't ya?

In the end I felt, What a Joke was quite appropriate, I now needed a font to suit this phrase, I want something bold, as the phrase 'What a Joke' tends to be said in a forceful, sarcastic manner, I don't think a font like Arial Narrow would suit. Something like Impact, Rockwell or Urban Sketch could be ideal.

Here are some examples of fonts I looked at, they include, Impact, Cooper, Stencil, Broadway, Tekton... I am using black and white for the type to be ironic, as some jokes are pure black and white and obvious however, I know for a fact there will be some that aren't... Colour will be used on the front cover, and for the Warning which will need to be displayed.

Rockwell seemed to suit the best, especially in capitals as you really feel the emphasis of the phrase.

From this point I can start thinking about the design of my DVD cover. Imagery is something that needs to be considered, I will be looking into comedian DVD covers and/or posters, as I feel the designs of these will be appropriate research.
